Giles Walker has been working with robots for the last 20 years. As a full-time member of the guerilla-art group THE MUTOID WASTE COMPANY, he started building kinetic sculptures and robots from materials found in various scrap yards around Europe.
He has exhibited his work around the world, touring in Europe, Japan, Australia, Russia, Ukraine and USA.
This year, he has shown pieces in THE BLACK RAT PRESS GALLERY, THE V&A, SCREAM GALLERY, THE KINETIC ART FAIR, NEWCASTLE SCIENCE MUSEUM, VIGO TRANSFORMER FESTIVAL (SPAIN), BREAD AND BUTTER (BERLIN), THE WHITECROSS STREET FAIR AND BESTIVAL.
Giles had a solo show at BLACK RAT PRESS GALLERY earlier this year where he showed
THE LAST SUPPER for the first time.
In September he showed THE LAST SUPPER, alongside a collection of his latest work ,
‘MORE FOOD FOR THE FORCE FED’, at THE COREY HELFORD GALLERY, Los Angeles. USA
