ATM has been highlighting the plight of Britain’s endangered birds through a series
of street art works painted in urban and industrial settings, as not so long ago
this is where many once-common species would have lived, when there were still rough
fields, hedgerows and water meadows by the Thames.
While the paintings improve the surroundings of housing estates and give people something
to appreciate on city walls, the main idea is to remind people about birds, their
beauty and significance and what conditions they need to flourish; and hopefully
to inspire people to do more to help them and nature generally.
